The Raven Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Looks like I may be in the market for a new TV. One of the LED sensor cover fell off of mine and now there is a glaring bright spot in my picture. I could just crack it open and glue it back, but the TV is 10 years old, so I might as well break down and get a new one. In the past, I've had Vizios, this current one is a Samsung. Any recommendations on a good 55-65" screen TV that won't break the bank (i.e. under like $750?)
sportsfan41 Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 I love our Samsung’s. You could get a nice OLED for around $750. Or a series 7 which is still pretty solid for around $500 at 55 inches. 1 1
theguru Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 I am all in on Samsung, I have had great luck with them and currently have a 40, a 55, and a 75. 1 1

Yup, two 55’s and a 65 at our house. Hopefully buying another one in the next few months once I get our basement finished.

The Raven Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 My gut is to stick with Samsung. This has been a great TV for a decade. Thanks for the input.

I watch the one in the living room from the kitchen quite often and it’s plenty big enough. I feel like you need to be at least 10 feet from a tv 65 inches or above and that’s not as likely with the basement setup.

GOREDDEVILS Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 I have a Samsung. I hear LG is real good too. 1
John Anthony Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 I have a 65” TCL mini QLED or something, it gets the job done. It’s a cheaper TV but I love the built in Roku.
theguru Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 I think we have been long past a point with "TV Tech" that pretty much anything is at least really good.
TheDeuce Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 I've had several Hisense TV's and they are every bit as good as the TV's that are $1000+, IMO. Best buy has a 70" right now for $579, I'm thinking about getting one myself. 1 1
