They have set I believe the next meeting to look at the numbers on August 20 at 10:30am.

A lot of districts have kids that have tested positive.

Hope for all kids sake that the virus is on the decline and all the HS sports get to happen.  I really think the kids need these activities.

One other point that was addressed in the meeting that winter sports still cannot do anything. Everything is still pertaining to only fall sports.

Actually that isn’t exactly correct, it was recommended that only fall spirts process but was not made illegal. Local decision.

Seems like nine games if they could schedule it right.

I agree.

Kids need sports, dances, graduations and a slew of other things. I can deal without restaurants and bars but kids need and deserve some sort of normalcy.

Yes that is correct 9 games the 8 games was with a 9/18 start. thanks

If I made the decisions which I don’t and I was going by this schedule I would rather see 10 regular season games and cut the first game of the playoffs that would give teams the opportunity to schedule another competitive team because as we all know those first round playoff games are rarely competitive.

I agree. However I'm happy for today's decision it could have been worse. I am still holding my breath until after the meeting on August 20th.

I may have missed this so please excuse me if it has been addressed but what is the model/standard response schools are supposed to follow if anyone tests positive for the Rona?

Will it be a 14 day shutdown of the entire school?  Something else?
