Go for the KHSAA! Was there anything mentioned about what they want to see with the "numbers" when they have their next meeting? 

With this approved recommendation football if they don't want to have a bye week can get 8 football games in. If it all works out and that's a big (if) would be great for hs football.

No... They just made a point to say they needed to meet again to examine the numbers before moving forward. 

Out of state play is permitted as long as the out of state team's county borders the state of Kentucky.

Did you understand that they voted to not allow any big tournaments in like volleyball and basketball or did I misunderstand what they voted unanimously?

Yep. That knocks them down to five games currently.

The unanimous vote was for the out of state play. They are discussing the tournaments now. 

Edit: Now it sounds like they did vote to limit tournament size. I believe this would impact the King of the Bluegrass.

Thanks yes they are going to limit any tournaments it looks like to no more than 8 teams with the exception of golf and cross country.

Just too many unknowns and this will be a fluid situation for quite some time.  It's going to require a lot of flexibility on many parts.  What do you do when certain school districts elect to opt out of fall sports?  Teams will constantly be scrambling for games all season long.  If JCPS decides not to play this fall, which is a real possibility, but the Private, Catholic schools do, what does that do to them from a district standpoint?  St. X, Trinity and a school like Bullitt East all play in districts where they are the only non-public, JCPS school.  What does that do to schools like that?  Does the KHSAA create a district for those 3 schools?  Again, a lot of unknowns and as much as people don't like it or are trying to predict the future, we're going to be taking it day-by-day and once,/if the season does start, Friday-by-Friday.

Excited to have any form of football we can get!

Saw limiting football to 60 in uniform. That hurts kids from bigger schools. Means some seniors won’t get to dress if just go off depth chart.

One big thing towards then end of the meeting they have voted to limit the number of players allowed in uniform on the sideline to only 60 players.

KHSAA board will meet again on 8/20 at 10:30am.
