I don't have much of a problem with the refs at all. There were a few missed calls here and there, but that happens every game. This crew was a lot better than last week's crew. UK just played bad plain and simple.

Refs didn't beat UK but the over the back foul on Gabriel when he followed followed up a missed shot and made it, which was wiped off and gave UT two free throws, was a four point turnaround. Replays clearly showed that Gabriel didn't foul. Bad call. Calls like that really irks me.

They didn't have any timeouts left.

I thought they had 4 timeouts left with a couple minutes to go and I only remember them using one more. I was going off the little lines they have under the team name/score. But I am sure you are right and that is a good reason not to call a timeout. :bag:

This young team has got to learn that if they are going to beat good teams late in the season that Bam has to touch the ball on every offensive set that isn't a fastbreak. They didn't do that in the first half and played selfishly and you see what happened. He went off the second half because he touched the ball more. First half was too much AAU mentality.

I thought Cal was the best? :D

Get it out while you can. The good news for UK fans, Cal shuts you up on this 17 out of 20 games.

Wasn't too difficult to figure out ... U.K. came in flat and stayed that way throughout the game, even when coming down to crunch time. I didn't see one time, one player acting, playing like they wanted to be there. Yes, UK got a bad whistle tonight but after the way the Cats seemed lifeless at times and with the poor defense - I can't blame this one on the refs.

I don't want to take away from R. Barnes's UT team and game plan. UT was able to slow the tempo of the game and they kept it that way throughout. They hit the boards, kept UK off the offensive glass, especially in the 1st half.

Cal should write this on the board, even our players forearms ..." #3, Bam Adebayo is on our team, make sure that he touches the ball in every half court set. Bam had 21 and they rarely went to him in the first half. When Bam gets the ball, especially on the low block ....it's 2pts., a foul, trip to the line and/or both. No one has stopped Bam inside. Monk had a steady 25 pt. game and Briscoe didn't let an off night stop him from hitting the boards, at one time he had 11 reb. , I don't know how many he ended up with but he was going to the boards.

17-3 / 7-1 and an equally mad Kansas team is here on Saturday.

Game is over, the .....

The sun will rise tomorrow morning ...

Get back to work on Wed., ......

Correct mistakes, get better .......

Get ready for an excellent Kansas team coming in on Sat. ....

It's tough to win conference road games.

It's tough to win conference road games.

Shouldn't be in this conference.

Embarrassing.

Outside of Missouri, you won't find a worse team in the SEC than Tennessee. Flat out inexcusable to lose to a team as horrible as they are.

Shocking it took 7 whole post before it the bad refs in a Kentucky loss was posted.

Yup. Most of the posters on here are blaming the refs for that one and not the poor play. Give me a break.

The act is tired.

UK is the game every team circles the minute schedule comes out. Hard to make kids, especially frosh, understand that. To call it embarrassing is reaching. It's one game, on the road, with a huge game coming up. It happens.

The not going to Bam is akin to the Harrison twins not going to Karl-Towns in 2015 Final Four. Instead of Cal calling a TO and telling them to get KT a touch each time down or Ulis will be in, he let them play hero ball and we lost to a team we should've beat. Likewise tonight, Monk and Fox did the same. Cal needs to call TO and say the same about getting the ball to Bam. These seem like easy instances to be a good coach.

This doesn't bother me much. We know we will be at worst a 3 seed this year. We also know that this team had the talent to win it all. So all that matters is putting it all together in the next month and a half before the tournament starts.

If this team can get it figured and and be more consistent it won't matter what seed they are. Honestly the same can be said about Duke. Both teams have a month and a half to get their teams to the potential it has.

I home I'm wrong but this team doesn't look like a championship team to me.

Refs didn't cost Cats in the long run. But after the last two weeks of foul fests, it's like the officials changed the rules tonite for both teams.
