Most of us figured they might lose a random road game in conference. Guess that was it. Frustrating game.

Need Saturday for a #1 seed.

I also feel like the Cats panicked/pressed down the stretch. Forced things instead of trusting the process and letting the plays happen. Shots rushed a little. Passes forced. Everything was a little forced.

I don't like how the Cats and Cal handled the very end of the game. If I am Cal, I call a timeout after Briscoe hits that shot. It is a two point game. Try to force a turnover or get a steal. Anything can happen. Make the refs check the clock. Maybe it is 1.3 seconds. Put some pressure on and let your team know we never give up. I know it is a huge long shot with less than a second to go but you never have a miracle if you don't try to make it happen.

They didn't have any timeouts left.

And that ends that strategy

The problem is when you play bad and not ready to play like Kentucky was tonight you put yourself in position where bad calls and home team breaks can cost you a game that you shouldn't lose.

The thing that worries me the most about Saturday now is who the hell is going to guard Josh Jackson?

This doesn't bother me much. We know we will be at worst a 3 seed this year. We also know that this team had the talent to win it all. So all that matters is putting it all together in the next month and a half before the tournament starts.

If this team can get it figured and and be more consistent it won't matter what seed they are. Honestly the same can be said about Duke. Both teams have a month and a half to get their teams to the potential it has.

Did somebody get out coached?

Sure it happens. Every Coach has gotten. Out coached before.

I don't have much of a problem with the refs at all. There were a few missed calls here and there, but that happens every game. This crew was a lot better than last week's crew. UK just played bad plain and simple.

UK played bad there's no doubt. There was just a few missed calls late that could've maybe put UK in position to win even tho it was a rough night. For example when UK is down 3 with 2 minutes to go and Evans for UT uses his forearm to push off and gain space to hit a shot in the paint, if they call that we're down 3 with a chance, instead UT gets 2 then UK turns it over and they're down 7 in under 20 seconds.

I thought Cal was the best? :D

True it also would be easy say there were a few fouls at the end we were fortunate that they didn't call on us in the last 2 minutes. One time Monk reached in bad that should have been a foul and would have been 2 shots, which they didn't score that possession. Fox should have fouled out on a reach in after a missed shot. Both could have easily been called on us and led to 4 easy free throws for them.

This was a typical basketball game with typical miss calls here and there on both teams.

Even Coach K has and gets out coached at times. They lost plain and simple. Learn and grow from it and move on.

By Rick Barnes? :lol2:

Not this game. Just because you lose doesn't mean you got out coached.

@tsnmike

For final time, Kentucky starts four freshmen and ranks No. 15 in nation in defensive efficiency. That's ahead of 340 teams.
