Ill disagree with your second statement. It's my belief that the president didn't fully understand the scope of the AHCA. I think he knew what he wanted to come across. And the fallout he truly didn't understand. I can't believe in the brief time he was in office that he crafted/helped author that concoction without some really jaded advice. Just my opinion.

He wanted to blow up the health care system in this country and eventually put it in the control of government. Think about it...when you depend on the government for healthcare, it owns you.

 

The law was 2,500+ pages long. It was written years before it was passed just waiting for the opportunity.

So many people constantly claim the government is incapable of doing anything yet readily believe every single conspiracy theory the government is supposed to be involved in.

You all should realize the House initially passed a single payer bill. The Senate passed a more restrained alternative. The eventual law was a compromise between the two heavily weighted toward the Senate's version. The House passed the Senate's bill with a few changes, then the Senate passed the House's changes through reconciliation.

 

This wasn't Obama's proposal (he avoided Clinton's mistake by presenting a specific bill to Congress) and he mostly left it up to Congress to design, then put heavy pressure on them to pass it. But it lacked the grand intentionality ascribed to it here.

I disagree with literally every post. The law was literally the worst written piece of legislation in my lifetime. Those questioning how it is repealed baffle me . I really do not think you umderstand how it hampers business in this country. Repeal Repeal Repeal.
