November 3, 20169 yr Neil deGrasse Tyson @neiltyson 4h4 hours ago The last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, the Periodic Table had only 85 Elements on it. Along that line, not only was Dexter Fowler the first black guy to play for the Cubs in the WS, but he also was the first black guy to homer for the Cubs in the WS, and he did it twice.
November 3, 20169 yr Author Also Kentucky boy Sam Holbrook (Rowan Co. HS & EKU Grad) was umpire behind the plate for tonight's game. I wouldn't be too proud about that. Missed a ton of strikes tonight
November 3, 20169 yr Author Wasn't our dear ole friend @westsider a Cubs fan too? Here's to you old buddy. Yes. Thought about him often tonight
November 3, 20169 yr I was afraid that this was going to happen. You could see the last three games the big boys were hitting. The Indians blew there only true opportunity when they left two on in the 3rd with only one out. Could've taken the lead and maybe control and only got one. But to be fair the best team all year won.
November 3, 20169 yr Man, I've not been to bed yet. Just keep watching all the post game stuff over and over. Taking it all in, and can't stop smiling, and getting misty eyed. When they tied it up, I was darn near in a full blown panic. I literally thought "they really are cursed". Then the rain came and I was like, this can only help us slow their momentum. Schwarbs is just a bad dude and was the difference maker. No doubt letting the AL have homefield actually benefited us more. When Zobrist drove in the go ahead, followed by Miggy's RBI, I was fighting back tears. I just loved this team. Super happy for Zobrist. Dude grows up a Cub fan in Illinois and is the MVP for the Cubs when they finally win it all? Doesn't get any better than that. I love how genuine Rizzo was, the dude is just a big kid. Ross and his HR. Man just so many amazing storylines.
November 3, 20169 yr ...the Ottoman Empire still existed. ...there were only 46 states in the United States. ...there was no income tax in the United States. ...Burger King was still just a prince. ...Babe Ruth had not yet donned a MLB uniform. Hey after the Cubs streak is now broken maybe there is hope now for the Bengals to finally break through and win the Super Bowl! lol:sssh::idunno:
November 3, 20169 yr I honestly can't think of a better Game 7. I know the David Freese game was great but it was game 6. '04 ALCS was the greatest series of all time but it wasn't the World Series. This is probably the greatest World Series of my lifetime.

November 3, 20169 yr T.Epstein runs this motherscratcher. Greatest Front Office Executive of any sport in my lifetime. By far.
November 3, 20169 yr Very happy for the biggest Cubs fan I know, @Jumpman4004. The Cubs are my favorite team that visits GABP because of their fans. Yes, I love that they drink a lot of beer and tip well. But honestly, they are just fun to be around, love cheering for their team and are very engaged in the game as well as random conversations with me during whatever goofy thing they are doing on the jumbotron between innings. Happy for them. I was four when the Reds won in 1990, so I am waiting to enjoy it myself.
November 3, 20169 yr Great World Series, I didn't think the Cubs would win after being down 3-1. I'm in total agreement that this series was very good for the game.
November 3, 20169 yr Wasn't our dear ole friend @westsider a Cubs fan too? Here's to you old buddy. He was a huge Cubs fan
