The best that I have seen is Paintsville's Daniel Pugh. I only saw him against Johnson Central last season and he spent most of the game running for his life. However, it was obvious that he is a very poised and athletic quarterback with a great arm. JC's defensive line just did not give him any time to find receivers.

Ryan Howard of Leslie County and Trevor Hoskins of Middlesboro are a couple of names that also should be added to the list.

IMHO, there are several very solid QB's, many very young, ... but Pugh seems to have the most total package I have seen thusfar. He is most definitely a dual threat player!

Racelands Scott Grizzle has to be considered. He really takes control of the offense and is excellent at reading the defense. Passed for over 2,000 yds in each of the last two seasons.

Thanks, I knew the Zach part but kept thinking it was Zach Turner for some reason. I have a feeling, there will be no forgetting his name here in about 2 or 3 months. People in the mountains and beyond will be quite familiar with it.

Damon Hensley from Sheldon Clark is a hard nosed quarterback. He is a gamer and competitor. He is a great leader and has started since the middle of his freshman year.

Who was it from the Mountains that beat Clint Cashen in a passing tournament just last month??

 

IMO Trevor Hoskins has a better ARM ,More SPEED and is the BEST QB in the mountains.
