December 3, 201510 yr Sorry, off by 300 passing yards and 6 TDs. Which makes a big difference. If someone is off by 300 yards and 6 TD's in the opposite direction of his actual stats. Then it would be thrown 2400 yards, and only 8 Td's with 9 Interceptions. That would look really horrible and worst than it actually would, would it not? Just like saying thrown for over 3000 yards and 20 touchdowns makes it sound better than it really was. So yes being off by 300 yards and 6 TD's does make a different in how things look.

December 3, 201510 yr I know people some may want to ignore it. However Towles did start last year off well, but after that starting with the last 6 games of last year and all of this season he has not done well at all. In his last 6 games last year he threw only 4 tds and had 5 interceptions. Basically in his last 16 games as the starting QB at UK he has only throw 13 Tds. and has had 18 interceptions. So yes his numbers are really off based and tried to round his numbers up to make it better. Very easily could round the numbers down in some areas and say last year he threw for only 2500 yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. You see how that would look bad, while him rounding up made it look really good. The reality of the situation he started off last season well, but then his play well down hill the last 6 games last year and it carried over to this year. The fact of the matter is his numbers at UK are not good at all. So I will disagree with people who try to say it was everyone else and not him because the numbers don't lie. I also will disagree with the people who act like it was only him and that he doesn't have some talent. However he needs a lot of right things around him to do well. He played a big part in how bad the offense has played the last two years, but was not the only part. I do think it is a good split for him and UK, and I do think in the right situation he can do well. Because all other successful quarterbacks need a lot of wrong things around them to do well ????

So for some who act like he wasn't apart of the problem, need to realize that he was. If he wasn't he would have been able to help makes things better. I'm sorry but poor line didn't always cause him to be inaccurate with his passes. There were many times where he had time and he would make throws that would leave you scratching your head. As I have said numerous times he wasn't the only problem, but people can't act like he apart of the problems.

Well that helps when there are not many good qbs in the Sec and most of the programs were turning to first year starters. He has all the things you want in a qb in size, arm, mobility. However he hasn't been able to put it all together yet, and its not all because of the people around him.

No excuses, just wandering. 2015 SEC College Football Individual Statistics Leaders for Passing - ESPN QBR is meant to be a single comparisoon number, though its not perfect. But PT's was 112 this season. Vandy's QBs are in the 90s. Brandon Allen of Arkansas has the high in SEC 165. So thats the range. The TD/Int ratio huts PT a lot in this rating. PT leads in interceptions with 14. His Average per attempt (6.6 yards) is the lowest among the top SEC QBs and his percentage is in the lowest end among top QBs (56.1). As to how the drop can hurt - intentional or not. I would say I saw two pure drops or missed catches that were solely on the receivers each game. Had 2 incompletes in each game been completed then the completion percentage would have been in the respectable 60s. And his rating would have been in the respectable 120s. The receivers defenitely hurt PT this year. But UK has other problems in other prositions and on the defensive side as well. The ESPN stats can be used to show those objectively as well.
