December 4, 201510 yr 2015 SEC College Football Individual Statistics Leaders for Passing - ESPN QBR is meant to be a single comparisoon number, though its not perfect. But PT's was 112 this season. Vandy's QBs are in the 90s. Brandon Allen of Arkansas has the high in SEC 165. So thats the range. The TD/Int ratio huts PT a lot in this rating. PT leads in interceptions with 14. His Average per attempt (6.6 yards) is the lowest among the top SEC QBs and his percentage is in the lowest end among top QBs (56.1). As to how the drop can hurt - intentional or not. I would say I saw two pure drops or missed catches that were solely on the receivers each game. Had 2 incompletes in each game been completed then the completion percentage would have been in the respectable 60s. And his rating would have been in the respectable 120s. The receivers defenitely hurt PT this year. But UK has other problems in other prositions and on the defensive side as well. The ESPN stats can be used to show those objectively as well. Matt asked him if he had informed the coaches he was transferring before the Charlotte game. He gave one of those "kinda/sorta" answers. He still stated that he would bleed UK blue till he died. Matt made the ending comment to Patrick that if Duke is where he goes, he had to promise to support the football team only and never the basketball team.

Here is a list of UK players, from Kentucky who have been drafted in the NFL: Jeff Brady Terry Samuels Winston Guy Jared Lorenzen Tim Couch Marty Moore Jacob Tamme Doug Pelfry Craig Yeast Dennis Johnson Artose Pinner Chuck Bradley Todd Perry ?????? 14 home grown NFL players, most of them underachievers in some way, that went to UK and still made it in the NFL...the most important part of this list is that UK has never been a powerhouse / "winning" program and these guys still went there and made it. Corey Peters was drafted in the 3rd round by Atlanta ( I think). Pretty sure he's from Louisville. Larry Warford was also drafted in the 3rd round & he is from Richmond.

December 4, 201510 yr I've just scanned this thread so these questions may have been answered but: Did Towels let his desire to play at UK cloud his judgement when choosing a college? Follow-up, with hindsight being 20-20 would he have been better off letting the recruiting process play out through his senior year and see if there were any other offers? Can Patrick master another scheme in the time he has to be a starter at a "big time" school? Will a "big time" program take a chance and use a scholarship on a player who at best will only have 1 year and at worst can't master the system well enough to start?
December 4, 201510 yr Talented qbs can also make those around them better. So for some who act like he wasn't apart of the problem, need to realize that he was. If he wasn't he would have been able to help makes things better. I'm sorry but poor line didn't always cause him to be inaccurate with his passes. There were many times where he had time and he would make throws that would leave you scratching your head. As I have said numerous times he wasn't the only problem, but people can't act like he apart of the problems. Hey @THUNDERBIRDS, did you catch this?

December 6, 201510 yr Well that helps when there are not many good qbs in the Sec and most of the programs were turning to first year starters. He has all the things you want in a qb in size, arm, mobility. However he hasn't been able to put it all together yet, and its not all because of the people around him. It IS all the people around him, offensive line and receivers who could not play on any other D1 team. This team is a complete joke starting with all coaches down to D2 players who would not be playing anywhere else. Good Luck to Pat wherever you go hope you beat these clowns in a bowl game next year.

Right, when your starting tackle on an SEC squad played at Walton Verona you have problems. No offense to the school or kid, just a reality that they aren't pumping out D1 players EVER. Was the line depth that bad?
