NKY Bandit
Shaun Alexander by far. After that, Ryan Timmons, Michael Bush, Miles Simpson, Jared Lorenzen.
charlesw88
Joe Casey from Paducah Tilghman. Guy was a stud. Unfortunate circumstances kept him from being able to continue his career at the next level. Joe Casey was a great one! I really wish he could have continued his career as I believe he had pro potential. No telling where he would be today.
bugatti
Travis Atwell, Hancock County. Kid nearly single handily got the Hornets a state title. Micah Jones, Mayfield. Most dominating OL I've seen play. Would drive guys 15-20 yards down field consistently. Joe Casey I put with another guy from the early to mid-90s that played at Murray named Chris Chaney. Flat out freak, high D-1 prospect that suffered a similar fate as Casey. He got injured at the end of his Junior season. Beechwood would have played against him in the '94 Finals. Michael Bush, Male. I still can't get over his conversion to QB. He was just that dude.

devils58
Justin Miller-Owensboro High School Justin with the ball in hand could do things that most footballs players simply can't. On the defensive side of the ball (where he played in the NFL), he was just as good. I've not seen a better all around football player with my own two eyes at the high school level. I did see Bush a couple times and he was amazing. The seperation between Bush and Milller, for me, is the all around play.

Big East Zebra
The best I've played against was Curt Warner, RB Pineville, WV went on to star at Penn St and was the first round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks. The best I've seen on the field play the game, without question from Rand University and Dupont High School, Mr. Randy Moss. No one, and I mean no one comes close in High School. tdyballgame
Jerry Reese NG Christian County early 80's Physical dominated hall of fame Dermontti Dawson and everybody else he played against. Hahaha! I will 100% disagree with that statement. Mark "Dusty" Cottingham manhandled Mr Reese in the "exhibition game" call the Recreation Bowl in Mt Sterling in 1982. I'm pretty sure Christian Cty ended the season with a record of 14-0 but Jerry Reese lost that battle that day. But he was a beast for sure. NEERFAN
Shaun Alexander without question is the best I've ever seen play at the high school level. On the KY side of the river Jared Lorenzen and Gino Guidugli were special players in their own right and really fun to watch. On the OH side of the river Marc Edwards from Norwood then Notre Dame and later the Patriots hands down was the best. Carlton Gray from Forest Park then UCLA and later the Seahawks is up there as well. Honorable mention would have to be Brian Pillman (RIP) and Carlos Snow because I saw them do things on the football field that no human their size should be able to do and at times completely defied the laws of physics. Where did Pillman play his high school ball?
Big Slick
Chris Jennings for Fairview back in 2002 and 2003. This guy was big, strong, fast, shifty, good hands and great vision. He probably never got the true recognition he deserved since his teams never advanced far in the playoffs. However he played his college ball at Arizona, and then was in the NFL for a few years with the Browns. He definitely was the best I have ever seen in person. Now if he should have been able to play for Fairview is a whole different story with all the things that has happened with their program recently. However he definitely was the real deal! I belive one season he had the only rushing td the Steelers defense allowed all year.
Big Slick
Juan Thomas. He was a man playing with boys. He hit the farthest homer ever at my high school that people that wasn't there refuse to believe. He also hit the hardest ball I've ever had hit at me. We had a scheduled double header that we played as varsity and jv, but they sent their 2nd unit to play a lesser team as a rain make up. I was a freshmen and playing third base for the first time in my life in that 2nd game of the dh. I almost died in his first at bat.
White Lightning
Where did Pillman play his high school ball? He played at Norwood High School in the late 70's. Then played at Miami University (Oxford) where he was a two-time All-American defensive tackle/nose guard. From 84-86 played for the Bengals, Bills and Calgary (CFL). After that hung up his cleats for wrestling shoes in the WCW and was best know as Flyn' Brian for signature leaps off the top rope of the ring. He passed away while in the WCW from an undetected heart condition that his father had passed away from years before.

If I extended it outside of the state of Kentucky Randy Moss would be at the top of my short list. He was sensational and transcendent at DuPont. Jason Williams was pretty special himself at QB... Williams went on to have a long NBA career but he would have easily been a standout D-1 QB IMHO. The other Out of State Guys of particular note for me: Melvin Cunningham- Matewan, WV Robert Nkemdiche- Grayson, GA
