December 8, 201411 yr The basketball committee puts 60+ teams in and still gets it wrong annually, or people upset annually. It's hard to find the perfect system I suppose.
December 8, 201411 yr Committee took easy way out. Of they did, which is debatable, isn't that what they are supposed to do?
December 8, 201411 yr Committee took easy way out. Old BCS formula would have produced the same 4 teams. Committee got it right. Job well done...
December 8, 201411 yr Old BCS formula would have produced the same 4 teams. Committee got it right. Job well done... And that's the bottom line. Not what they did last week, or the week before that.

December 8, 201411 yr The basketball committee puts 60+ teams in and still gets it wrong annually, or people upset annually. It's hard to find the perfect system I suppose. The basketball Commitee usually gets the right teams in, where they mess up is the seedings. The football Commitee screwed up by releasing their rankings a month ago which opened them up to all kinds of criticism when they would move teams up and back with no solid reasoning. If the football committee would have simply released their one and only rankings today for the year then they wouldn't have as much criticism as they are getting. Of course they would have some, but not this much.
December 8, 201411 yr ACC has been hosed and crapped on all year. It's the ACC lol, they have 1 good team. They have the #3 team in the country and in the playoffs. They should be estatic lol. In all seriousness, what does it really matter? If your not in the playoffs what difference does it make which bowl game you play in? It doesn't mean anything at the end of the day. Ever since the BCS came into fruition, no bowl games mean anything unless you are playing for a National Championship.
December 8, 201411 yr Who were the top 2 teams? Oregon and FSU were flipped in the old system. Would have been a Bama/FSU title game...
December 8, 201411 yr I have question other than the top 6. How does Mississippi St. move from #10 to #7 without even playing while Michigan St. was #8 last week and never played and stayed the same. My question is if Michigan St. was two slots above Miss. St last week while neither played. I would like to hear that explanation!

My question is if Michigan St. was two slots above Miss. St last week while neither played. I would like to hear that explanation! I don't know. Miss St's SOS went up I guess since Bama won. Mich St's should have gone up too since OSU won. Did Mich St play Wisconsin this year? If so, then the loss would have hurt Mich St but that should have just offset OSU. Strange
December 8, 201411 yr Bottom line for me on this is I feel the committee got it right. I like the final four. And I like the Big 12 blowing it for a couple reasons. One, they tried to game the process and got burned. Two, it may cause them to add 2 teams to get to a conference championship game which opens the door for UC to get into a better conference. Side note ... Big 12 has 10 teams and Big 10 has 12? ... :lol2: Big 10 has 14 teams.
December 8, 201411 yr I don't get the B12 getting penalized for not having a title game when they are the only conference that plays every team in their conference. How many conferences play 10 conference games? Zero. The B12 already plays 9.

The ability to easily determine a single champion with tiebreakers. Oops.
December 8, 201411 yr Was Shocked at how well the big 12 commish took the bad news . I would have been hot , but he acted like " no big deal" . With the head of the committee being an Ohio guy and Ohio St dwarfing Tcu/Baylor in popularity they had no chance of getting a fair shake .
