You do know the COV CATH kid was state champion in the 100 meter dash?

Another new poster joins the ranks. Welcome to BGP, BT.

Sounds like you're talking about Jake Erpenbeck. Definitely excited to see how he does trying to bust it by all of the cornerbacks around NKY this season.

Oh good Lord. Anyone want to make a prediction if this game will get to finish? I guess we could start calling them the "Half-Contest Colonels".

For those wishing to attend:

Pep Rally: 5am in the gymnasium. Please bring a flashlight, because there are no lights in the gymnasium.

Tailgate: 7am in the parking lot. Please bring a flashlight, once again no lights.

Kickoff: 9:30am. Again, flashlights, expecting fog.

Come on Ram, this is all u got? This week's game is even earlier than last week, and last week u went on a 7 page rant on why starting a Varsity game anytime the time ends with "am" is a crime against football. You getting used to it now?

You can be fast, but you also have to have the ability to catch the ball too.

There is no way that I think the kid from Dixie is faster than Erpenbeck; however, Cov. Cath doesn't just have one speedster they have several and that is a problem for anyone.

Cov. Cath / Boone was fairly close (I probably wouldn't given Boone quite as much love as everyone else in the postgame thread gave them) until midway throug the 2nd quarter, but once Cov. Cath started going over the top, drives were short and TD's came quickly.

Dixie has a stable of quick athletes. Not going to pursue a mine is better than yours because of 40, 60, 100, 200 yard dash times. Come to the game and witness with your own eyes.

Clearly Dixie is the underdog and people are thinking...."was last year a Dixie fluke after two consecutive 3-8 seasons?" The answer to that ? is no fluke and Coach Brossart has buy in, a very good staff surrounding him, and kids that will and want to win. More importantly he is preparing these student/athletes for success beyond football. :thumb:

Coach Brossart is the epidomy of class and integrity. Last years team learned a lot outside of the bounds of football considering Mrs. Brossarts battle with cancer. This year, Dave has had that much more time to focus on this Dixies squad success and a group of seniors who want to prove and establish...... last year was not a fluke.

Please continue to underestimate this Dixie Heights Colonels football squad. It further convicts the will power of a great group of athletes and young men I see doing very well in the game of life!

I'm sticking to my 21-14 Dixie Heights win...grab a coffee and come to cchs to watch Red > Blue!!!

I can assure you that no one on the Cov Cath staff or team is underestimating Dixie.

Then Dixie maybe fine. Clearly Boone was not and it certainly will be a concern when the beloved Birds match up with evil blue Colonels.

I am most certainly not underestimating them. They are a talented bunch and this will be a great game.

If Dixie's Defense is anything close to last year I would be surprised if anyone puts up more than 2 TDs. 10-7 insert either team. This will be one of the best games of the season.

My politics say red over blue every time.

However, it seems there may be a few too many kids playing both sides of the ball for red to beat blue on Saturday.

Dixie 20

I just responded to what others said to me last week, this week not many had much to say. I would venture the reason for the lack to response to my comments was: even the die hard CovCath fans know 9:30am is absurd.

...sí.

Should be a good game; I think Cov Cath wins 30-21.

It's actually a great time to have this game. Beat most of the heat. Have the entire day in front of you to watch college football.

Saturday at anytime is never good time to have a varsity game.
