I do understand all that but that brings us to the next point. The KHSAA needs to open it completely up then.

 

I think so also. I'd be in favor of that. I think if a family makes a decision to switch schools they should be allowed to do so without penalty.

 

I also think the KHSAA serves us all better by allowing kids to be eligible if they can put together a legitimate move and transfer and investigate those transfers that look like there is funny business going on. Illegal housing, improper payments or faulty documentation.

 

If I decide to send my kid to the school down the street I should be allowed to have that right without penalty.

I also want to add if this is true I wish Aaron Floyd nothing but the best. Aaron has D1 DB skills and should be a fine addition to the Colonel football team.

As Dad is the Asst principle at Boone and knowing that the family is intelligent and close to these matters, I have to believe that Aaron wouldn't be making this move purely on a "hope" that he is eligible, but on a "know" that he is eligible basis. Ie: I am sure someone in the family did some fact checking and spoke to some people which paved the way for this to happen.

I could see this ending up like a Mike Mitchell situation. Ineligible, but plays the whole season with an injunction.

Does the state of Kentucky require you to pass standardized tests to graduate? I know in Georgia you'll see a kid switch to a private school his/her senior year because they can't pass the Graduation Tests.

After the KHSAA let the Johnson kid follow his HS BB coach to PCC and be eligible immediately I've given up any hope of the KHSAA being competent.
