Does anyone know if Police officers are required to take a drug test if they are involved in a crash or shooting? Most companies require employees to take a drug test if an accident/injury happens at work. Also, has anyone who posted on here change their opinion since the video came out? It seems the officer's story doesn't quite match the video. IMO, There is a huge difference in a car speeding up and hitting him onto the hood and a car going 5 mph and him walking beside the car. The foot injury could be where the car ran over it while he was walking beside it . I guess we will see what happens when all evidence has been collected and verified, hopefully by an outside party. It is disappointing that KSP decided not to investigate the case.

Anyone who supplied the alcohol to the underage drinkers should be aching with guilt. Older siblings, friends, and parents---just because they asked for it, you don't give it to them. Just because you think it's no big deal for them to have a few drinks, you don't give it to them.

Very true but instead of take any blame they will instead point the finger to law enforcement.

The civil suit that needs to be filed is against the "host/planner" of the field party, anyone purchasing alcohol and bringing it to the party that then allowed underage teens to drink it, possibly the property owner (if they were trying to be the "Cool Parents" and allowed this to go on on their property), any stores that may have sold alcohol to underage people. There are a lot of civil suits that need to filed even if none are ever brought against the officer and his department.

Actually I heard the property owners did not giver permission fr a field party. I heard that the owners son stated his parents had no idea anyone was there and kids sneak on the property all the time and throw parties. I take it the owners don't have a house on the property and don't live there.

I'd like to know how these kids were drawn to this piece of property. I've read they were on private property so how did they end up there? I drove past the site yesterday and it's a bare piece of land situauated a few hundred yards from the river. Two old rigs are parked on the property. I know one thing, that road isn't pleasant when you are sober, most of it is really rolling, some of the worst asphault in NKY.

How can you tell when the shots were fired in the. 40 seconds where we can't see anything?

You must be watching the "news version" of the video with about 40+ seconds edited out from the time they went off screen and the time the car goes into the ditch and the smoke can be seen. The "Raw" video is out there to watch also and helps with the timeline of events as it truer depicts the the event.

Not even close. I would suggest you watch the unedited version. Not only is there 40 secs from when the car leaves the frame of the video until it backs back into the frame but also the car that pulls up behind where she turned onto the road was around 10 secs after she left and the guy in the car had enough time to have a conversation with a guy who walked up to his car before she was shot which also wasn't shown on the edited video but can be seen on the unedited version.

Agreed. I'd also say neither of them realized how things would unfold even as they were happening. That's what makes it just an all around sad and horrifying situation. No one wins here.

Changes everything regardless of people's opinions.

There is going to be a civil suit no matter what. I hope they name the property owners who didn't give permission for the party and whoever purchased the alcohol etc and not just the police dept since it was more everything else that caused all of this in the first place.

I would say that if you are of the belief that the officer was in the wrong then, no, it would not change your mind.
