I read one story where they said she might have thought he was waving her to move on and they had loud music. I just don't understand the report it says she accelerated her car and turned trying to hit him but in the video he is next to the drivers door if she accelerated she would have passed him up.

In the report it also said she accelerated as she was turning left by his cruiser. She was turning left, she did accelerate as she was going next to his cruiser.

 

Just going by what you just admitted about what some of these so called witnesses said about she thought he waved her by and there was loud music, well the video clearly shows he didn't wave her by at all instead out his hand out for her to stop, can't ever be mistaken for waving her by. That also goes to show the credibility of the witnesses. They can't even get that part right which would lead me to not believe anything they said.

She was fleeing already, long before the shot was fired. I would not say she was fleeing to save her own life, she was fleeing to save herself from possibly going to jail. I think everyone can agree with that. Her refusal to stop and continue fleeing is what led to her death unfortunately.

Jumping on the hood IMO was his way of making her stop when she wouldnt. IMO I dont think he got to the front of that vehicle and his statement like CLYDE said will hurt him in Civil suit. They will eat him for lunch and the county will be paying out some money.

I'm glad the Sheriff asked for an outside agency to investigate. People were already saying he wouldn't and the investigation would be biased. This shows he didn't want any prejudice when it comes to this case. I applaud him for that.

 

I agree that was a good move but it's not working very well so far.

One thing really not mentioned is, if someone is on the hood of a car with the driver accelerating to the point where there life is in jeopardy, how challenging it would be to place 3-4 accurate shots.

If I remember correctly from when I read the officer's report earlier, I thought it said something that he thought she was impaired and since he knew there were people walking in the street down the road, he didn't want to let her get that far.

 

I could be wrong though as I quickly read the report about 8 hours ago while in class. If I have that wrong, I apologize.

I don't know how far down the road it traveled but had to be a good distance seeing how on the video it was about 40 secs once the veh left the frame of the video to when it came to a stop after backing up.
