Yes, they are the law and we have to stop if they say stop. When someone doesn't and moves along side of him, or possibly runs over his foot we don't know how they are going to react.

I know no more about this case than the rest of you but I will guarantee he didn't jump on the hood just because he was "Mad". I'll bet anything that he jumped on the hood to avoid the car anyway he could. Every police officer I ever met had one goal each day when they went on duty, that was to go home safely at the end of their shift. Jumping on a car hood just because they are "mad" and putting themselves in a position to possibly be killed isn't something they would do unless there was no other option.

I think we've had some good discussion here. There's a few posts here and there that we could probably do without, but I don't see anything wrong with the discussion overall.

Take speculation off this site and you've just reduced BGP activity by leaps and bounds. Need to keep boundaries in mind in tragic situations like this though.

I don't know more about this case, just talking about the speculation that some keep making that he jumped on the hood because that seems what cops do. They do it in the movies, they only do it in real life when their life is in jeopardy and they are trying to get out of harms way. If he had the time and room to jump completely out of the way he would have done that I am sure.
