After reading that article it appears it provides us with no new information. It does however assume that the entire community is "outraged".

Seems like alot of women on Facebook are outraged also.

Are these women also your "friends"?

I find it hard to believe that a police officer would open fire on a young woman for no reason. In these circumstances, the girls friends and family can say whatever they want. The officer involved can't explain himself to the press.

 

This is sad for all involved. It will hopefully make more sense when all the facts are in.

Like I said, 100 or so people don't represent an entire community. All the news pages I've looked at, the vast majority side with the officer

I have a couple questions I'd love answered but unfortunately we will never know because the driver is no longer with us.

1 question being this.

 

Why did she put the car in reverse?

 

My speculation is this, and it is only speculation.

 

I am guessing when the deputy got his foot run over and broke his ankle , out of pure adrenaline he lept onto the hood again ordering her to stop. Instead of stopping she cranked the car in reverse hoping to throw him off the car...would she have run him over if successful to get away? we don't know, but neither did he and after ignoring the order to stop he did the only thing he thought he could do to stop the threat to his life.

 

Like I said, total speculation, but her putting the car in reverse raises a lot of questions that no one on here has asked yet. What we know is she wasn't stopping.

What I find amazing about the reaction to this is that so many people are so sure that the officer was at fault' date=' or the girl was at fault w/out all of the evidence being presented. The court of public opinion is a scary place.[/quote']

Maybe she put the car in reverse and ran his foot over then he jumped on the car?

That NY Daily News article includes a quote from a passenger in the car saying the deputy shot first then the driver sped up. She said that it was dead weight on the pedal after she was shot. If that's the case, how and why did the car get put in reverse? If she was already shot (and possibly dead - I know it says pronounced dead at the hospital but that's just the pronouncement and doesn't specify when she died), who put the car in reverse and why did they do so?

Comment sections on social media or the media sites are a sad cesspool. A bunch of idiots come out with weird, off the wall, and sick comments. Most hide behind their keyboard and don't have the guts to say what they say online face to face with even close friends or family members.

If you are on top of a car I think I would jump off instead of shoot the driver. If you shoot the driver the car could go out of control killing everybody. If I was the cop I would have jumped off or not jump on the car at all. I would have shot the tires out.
