I'd prefer an unbiased witness. Not someone making statements from the car such as she didn't know he was talking to her or he could have shot the tires. She had a couple friends in the car, one vanished into the woods (true friend there). So when their versions of the incident have already been partially debunked, the rest of their versions lose credibility.

So if a dozen people from the party separately give the same chain of events, you'll think they're not credible?

 

And, I agree that intoxicated accounts are not the most reliable, but if multiple people are independently giving the same story (and I have no idea if that has or will happen), it lends to it probably being credible, intoxicated or not, wouldn't you say?

The problem with your scenario is there aren't "a dozen people". There's the people in the car and the deputies and possibly the person in that dark colored car that sat there. Given the fact it was dark and the person who was in that car had to look through the LEDs, I doubt they will be able to provide much insight.

Also, allow me to flip the script. If there were 3-4 deputies that said something contradicting to the girls friends, would you believe the deputies?

Wouldn't know who to believe in that situation.

I don't think the kids in the car may be the best immediate or overall witnesses, someone just opened fire on them. I would have been running like hell out of the car myself.

Here is the only problem I have with the so called "witnesses" who we're at the party. That is that when watching the video the car that pulled up after her car took off didn't pull up for close to 8-10 secs after she left and when he pulled up he was talking to a guy who walked up to his car and neither one of them were looking down the road where the officer and vehicle were. The only time people seem to notice and look down the road was probably when they heard gun shots to alert them to look in that direction.

 

With that said, one of the passengers in the victims car said on the news that she saw the deputy in the side of the car and the next thing she knew was he was in the hood, she didn't sound like she was too sure how he got there. It sounds to me like people at the party were only repeating what they heard the passenger say. Just seemed a little unreliable as she sounded confused to how the deputy ended up in the hood.

 

I could be totally wrong, but it looked like to me that the kids that were on the video weren't paying attention to what was going on down the road until they heard something down the road, possibly shots and if that is the case they couldn't have seen him jump on the car due to 1 not paying attention and even watching and 2 the darkness.

I agree HB. I noticed that too. The guy in the black car didn't seem to pay attention until several seconds went by. Made the whole argument that they didn't even know he was trying to stop them seem unlikely.

Some guy on Twitter tells me if I watch the 46 minute video I will see what happened. I haven't yet. Heading out to calls balls and strikes.

You really are clueless when it comes to police work. There are reasons why the Officers showed up and acted the way they did when all they hear on the radio is "shots fired" they do not know who, what or why etc. you also don't want anyone running to possibly get a weapon because they are upset etc.
