Do what he says and you won't end up in a worse situation.

 

Seems Simple...but so many fail to understand that.

If you know more about this case than the rest of the people here, please put some indisputable information about the case in your post. Maybe that will cease all of the speculation we keep reading.

I don't know more about this case, just talking about the speculation that some keep making that he jumped on the hood because that seems what cops do. They do it in the movies, they only do it in real life when their life is in jeopardy and they are trying to get out of harms way. If he had the time and room to jump completely out of the way he would have done that I am sure.

Depends on which way you are facing. I can jump forward much more easily than I can jump backwards.

No doubt the split second judgment comes into play, it just seems that would be the more practical option. Of course, so would stopping the car when an officer tells you to.

Possibly, but I'd say timing and circumstance may not have allow for that.

 

Something no one seems to be allowing for is that she hit him and knocked him up on her hood giving him no choice as to where he went.

I think everyone has said that's a definite possibility. I think where people disagree is that some seem to think she intentionally tried to run him down. Much like your position that a cop doesn't just jump on a car hood unless it's absolutely necessary (and I agree), I feel pretty confident in saying that people don't just try to run over cops intentionally.

The report filed by the officer still will leave questions and doubt for some. The report says he was struck while she was turning left. Did he mean immediately? Did he mean right after he went out of the camera view?

 

To show how one's memory is not always accurate in these high-stress situations realize he claimed he fired 3 shots. He was not aware of the 4th shot.

Officer says he broke his foot/ankle when coming off of the hood.

He admitted hurting his ankle/foot jumping off the car. I can't link the article b/c I don't pay for nky.com and me free run is over.
