So true. And the thing is he has a really good program. Really good. And they've shown themselves to be top notch in 4A, maybe not Highlands-level, but not really a pushover. Their results prove their ability. But this stuff just makes them look awful.

Matney is a punk, always has been and it appears he always will be. He isn't doing things like this for the kids, he just has an ego bigger than the football field. I think he is a great football coach, as far as knowing the game. But his personality and antics remind me of an egomaniac. JC Seems like a good up and coming program, but I believe he will make them a lot of enemies, in a short period of time.

It seems to me this put a ton of pressure on the kicker. Leave it alone and wait for the right situation and it sounds like the kid has the ability to nail it. Then the story will be about the player and not the coach.
