Virgil's has closed down in Bellevue. It doesn't sound like there are currently any plans for Matt Buschle to open back up, or start anything new.

We ate there once. Not bad, but not good enough to have a do over. Hope another one goes in. Love those little city restaurants. .

Checked out Salazar's in OTR Saturday. Pricey but enjoyable experience. I'd recommend going tapas style and trying a few different items.

 

My favorite item was the brussel sprouts with an aioli sauce. Excellent. Also had a goetta that was good. Oyster mini sandwich was tasty. They had a few off the menu items since they had some truffles. Truffles do nothing for me but they added it to a very tasty mac and cheese. Solid beer selection as well.

Zero offense intended, but nothing you mentioned sounded even remotely good to me. Brussel sprouts and goetta in the same meal should never be allowed.

 

OTR just doesn't do it for me. Don't really get all the hype.

Tried the new Nashville Hot today in Crescent Springs. Chicken was excellent. Very juicy and tender on the inside and nice spice on the outside but not overwhelming. Crinkle fries were strong, but didn't care for the mac n cheese. Not enough cheese for my liking. I'll definitely be back regularly...

I just don't understand how people mess up mac and cheese. Have you ever complained about too much cheese? Has anyone?

Tried Nashville Hot and will make a return trip. IMO fries were sub-par but the sandwich was solid.

@mcpapa So the daughter and I went to El Caminante tonight after dropping the boys off at a birthday party. Came away impressed. She had a burrito the size of a Buick and I had the Pollo Bandido. Queso Dip with our chips and drinks...got out of there for under $30.
