Checked out Jewell's On Main in Warsaw for the first time. Really liked it.

 

Great value with a great menu.

 

I had shrimp-n-grits and it as tasty.

 

Their bread pudding is LEGIT.

Went to the wine festival tonight then headed to Fridas. We started of with queso and chips. A nice portion with fresh peppers, I have enough for tomorrow's NFL slate. We also ordered the Mezcal for Virgins. Never heard of it before but it's oven cooked Agave, four one once shots. Tequila is not really my thing but I enjoyed the shots which were serve in Pyrex beakers. Very smokey and nice warm spirit for a cold night. My wife ordered three fish tacos, myself three fried chicken tacos, both were very good. I enjoyed it very much, a nice addition to the NKY foodie scene.

Might have been mentioned on a different page, but Bard's Burger is closed. Has anybody mentioned Colonial Cottage in Erlanger, good food, fair prices.

Had breakfast there a few times in last few months. It's ok. Still prefer the old greasy spoons on Monmouth.

Bard's re-opened.

Went to Son of a Preacher Man in O'Bryonville yesterday. Very good. Fried chicken and biscuits are specialties. The chicken sandwich is serviced on a big biscuit. I'd say Eagle is still the king of fried chicken but this was very good and a cool place. Nice bottled/canned beer selection as well. My wife had the country ham and liked it a lot.

Had lunch at Pleasant Ridge Chili today. Hadn't been there in 15 years. Good chili. Cheese gravy fries are excellent.

Wife grew up right down the road from there. She introduced me to the gravy cheese fries when we started dating. Never had something that sounded so gross but tasted so dang good.

 

Really good chili too.
