What are the best non-chain "hidden gem" resaurants in the NKY/Cincinnati area?

 

I'm talking about the kind of place that you'd see on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and the like.

I feel like Keystone in Covington is a more obvious one, but should make this list because of their Mac & Cheese dishes.

Eli's BBQ is the first place that came to mind.

Pit-To-Plate up in Mt. Healthy is pretty good as well. Doesn't look like much, appearances-wise, but it's GOOD barbecue.

Senate in OTR.

Knuk-n-Futz in Taylor Mill

Go there a couple of times per month on Monday night when it is half price Mac N Cheese! This is really, really good Mac N Cheese!

Oasis Mediterranean restaurant on Fields Ertle Road. Not sure why they picked that name is the place is 100% authentic Russian! I usually get the mushroom soup, and either the fish Moscow or the beef stroganoff, the homemade bread is amazing as well. So many great items, and it's BYOB if you want to drink a beer or wine with your meal.

Django Western Taco in Northside is fantastic...

Rima's Diner....good old fashioned home-cooking. Their greenbeans are an absolute MUST.

Allyn's Cafe out past Ruby's is really good.
