Anyone ever been to Spare Time Grill in Alexandria? Pass it all the time but never have been in. It has the look of an old time diner similar to Anchor Grill.

It's a heart attack waiting to happen. I go there frequently. Best goetta around. Love the place.

No she sold it when my Dad got sick about 5 yrs ago. Her chicken salad was the best in the Tri-State. New owner is Jeff Meiner and he has a great menu. He hired my daughter to work on the weekends waitressing while she's in school. Stop in sometime and say hey.

Greyhound tavern in Ft. Mitchell. The absolute best onion rings you will ever have annd their fried chicken is awesome

 

...I've been told that Blinker's down in Covington (next to Sidebar, across the street from Keystone) has the same onion rings recipe. I've had both, and they're both exceptional onion rings - and I couldn't tell a difference, for what that's worth. Their cheese sticks and fried eggplant appetizers are both pretty great as well. They have a $5.50 burger deal on Mondays, and their andouille chicken is killer good.

Detroit Joes can be pricey. I helped my brother scrap one day and he got $15.00 bucks for the load of crap we took down. He promised me lunch. We went to DJ and had Burgers and a "few" beers. It cost him $40.00. Bad move on his part.:lol: he should have just set it out for Rumpke.

More or less, yeah. Its on the opposite side of the road, but it's about two blocks west of Schneider's. There is also a pretzel shop/cafe that I think is a little closer to Schneider's that you could be thinking of, though. It's called The Twisted Sisters...they serve lunches there.

I never really thought Rio Grande was pricey. You get a ton of food on your platter for $8-9. Great choice.

Yes, two doors down from Cleves Jewelry. He's a mainstay down there.
