Went to Packhouse Meats in Newport for the first time. Really liked the place. Good beer selection.

 

My food was ehh - bland. My wife's was really good. We'll go back and check it out.

Ventured up to Krueger's Tavern for dinner up in OTR last night. Really neat place with a very cool rooftop patio seating area.

 

Food was very good, had the Spicy burger, which consists of spicy homemade pickles, habanero cole slaw, and ghost pepper jack cheese. The 4 of us split a couple pitchers of cocktails, which were phenomenal.

 

Really outstanding craft beer selection as well, although I didn't order any.

Word. Pontiac is way overrated and overpriced.

Had a drink there Friday night. Waiter was not at all friendly. They made some good drinks though from what my friends said. I had a miller lite.

Ate at Tafts Ale house this weekend. Around 12th and Vine. Just opened up. Pretty cool micro brew in an old Church. Looks really cool. The food was outstanding. If you go, get anything that includes the beef tips. Smoked and tender. Fantastic.

I had lunch at Mardi Gras on Madison in Walnut Hills today. Darn good shrimp po' boy.

Yep. Hit em up a month ago. Just a casual atmosphere run by a woman who puts her heart and soul into the place.

She doesn't skimp on the shrimp. The Po Boy is well worth the $10.

Tried out the new Taft Ale House in OTR tonight. Their smoked tri-tip steak is phenomenal. Had a sandwich with pepper jack and chipotle mayo. Asked for a refill, but that apparently wasn't an option. Wife had one with bacon, cheddar and a red ranch sauce. Also fantastic. Tater tots were great as well. And good beer. I will be back. Very soon...

Ended up going to Kruger's Tavern. Had the Cuban which was really good. Hot beer cheese was a little overrated. My wife had their burger and liked it. Nice place.

Had a solid Cuban from Jason's Deli in Rookwood last week. Nice spot as well...

I have. I missed chip...but I thought the burger tasted the same. New owner bought all the equipment from Chip.

Made it down Saturday. Loved the place. Beer selection was good.

 

Food? Not so much. OK. Not great. Had one of the steak tip sandwiches that had onion straws. Bland sandwich. Too many onion straws vs actual steak.

Visited last Tuesday is was good as always and packed. Chip is back subbing from time to time now for the new owner. It was just is a remembered it.

 

Cheeseburger chips and a drink $5 still a great deal.
