Has anyone EVER been to the Korean/BBQ joint at the corner of 18 and 75 in Florence ? Been there for YEARS and I've never seen a car there nor talked to anyone who has eaten there.

 

It is a joke. I do not know what they are selling but I doubt it is food. I was talking to a guy who delivered beer and he said his deliveries to the Korean place were always larger than the Speedway next door.

Maybe they are acting as a distributor to other restaurants and convenience stores owned by friends and family. May be the only legal entity able to purchase goods.

Looking at web site. Thought I saw $5 buckets on Fridays? Wow!

 

But they only put one beer in a bucket :lol2:

Saw where Eli's was the only restaurant in OH or KY to be named to Yelp's hottest 100 for 2015. They've got a good thing going over there.

Haven't been yet but plan to check out Bourbon & Broad in Newport. It's being billed as "a taste of Louisiana, a sip of Kentucky and the sound of Nashville". This is in the place that was previously Little Nashville, but this sounds much better food wise since they say food will be the major focus. The Cajun-American menu includes Po Boys, Jambalaya, Beer Can Chicken, Smokehouse Ham, Half-Pound Stuffed Burgers, Ribs, Brisket, Voodoo Pasta and more.

 

The bar will have more than 60 bourbons, 32 draft craft beers and 50-plus bottled options, including craft and imports; wines; and specialty cocktails. Beer drinkers can buy a 16-ounce glass boot and get a discount on refills. They're planning to build a boot locker to store them.

 

They plan to have local and touring acts from Nashville and will renovate the upstairs (hopefully by fall) to resemble a vintage concert hall that could hold around 400 people.

I have heard it is good. Cef Michael was down at Manhattan Harbour at the end of the year trying to breath life into the resturant after several others failed. Nice guy, I wish him the best of luck.

I wanted to check out Little Nashville but never did. Only reviews I ever heard on Little Nashville was there were lots of fights.

 

Hopefully Bourbon & Broad can become a solid venue.

I was thinking of checking out Southern Smoke BBQ tonight for meat week.
