Don't know if it's been mentioned and I'm not reading 73 pages to find out, but I have always loved Andy's Mediterranean Grille on Nassau St.   I always hit that place up when I go to the Art Museum.

Been by that place a lot, but always at the wrong time because they always seem closed.  Usually we're later in the day, either getting a burger at Bard's, or donuts at Moonrise.

As GT mentioned, it is essentially a tater-tot with filled with cheese. Unfortunately, the Dari Bar is only open during the summer months and is now closed until next May.

Mmmm... sounds like something I could get into trouble with. The name also suggests a "crunch factor" which is something else that is a downfall with me.

Not sure I would call it a gem quite yet, but ate at a new place in Alexandria today. Hidden in the old car dealership that Jolly has taken over. Called Tailored Catering. You can order homecooked meals for $8.00 comes with 2 sides. I had stuffed peppers, Mrs. TAC has turkey/gravy ad the Mrs-TAC-in-law had meatloaf.

Yeah, I saw something on Facebook (or somewhere else) where people were giving him grief for that! :lol2:

What's the proper way to eat a three way?

What's the proper way to eat a three way?

Turn plate sideways.

Make one or two downward cuts with your fork at the end of the plate.

Slide fork underneath said cut spaghetti/chili/cheese.

Lift to mouth.

Repeat.

With a question like that, it's like you're not even from this area....

I have been eating 3 ways for over 30 yrs and NEVER once have I eaten them that way. Wow

I can't remember the last time I ordered a three way at one of the chili joints. Now at home we make five ways all the time and I just dig right in without all that cutting.

You twirl it?

You twirl it?

No, I don't twirl it. I'm not patient enough to do that. I don't even no if I can explain how I eat them other than inhale.
