We ate at Ottos in Covington. I usually go for lunch for the tomato soup and brieberry salad. Tonight, I treated myself to their shrimp and grits. UNBELIEVEABLY DELICIOUS! Husband had a bourbon glazed pork. He loved his also.

Still thinking about it this morning. I can't remember the last time I truly SAVORED a meal like that.

 

I love the food there. Only problem is that seating is quite tight. Doesn't stop us from going though!

Recently ate at Steinhaus in Florence (near Elsmere Police Department on Dixie Hwy). Wow! I was really impressed.

 

The facility itself is outstanding. Everything has been recently remodeled and is very nice.

 

The food was delicious. I got a bowl of the German potato soup, which I thought was okay. I also got the Reuben sandwich which was absolutely outstanding. The bacon covered potatoes for my side were also outstanding.

 

I was very pleasantly surprised by every aspect of the place, from the building itself, to the food, and the service.

 

It was a bit pricey, especially for lunch, but I would highly recommend it.

They actually have a banquet hall called the Rhine room which accommodates close to 90 people. Would be a good location for a BGP gathering…

Yes it is. I have heard that they're interested in moving down to Covington to the old Chez Nora. That sounds like a great fit, but I would think the owner would lose TONS of money. Somebody sank a lot of coin into the current location to renovate it.

130 pm, five minute wait.

Hit the Senate for first time. Sampled 2 orders of fries, roasted bone marrow, special hot dog (Mac and cheese, onion straws, chunks of steak), pulled pork and belly. Thumbs up. Was told 2 hour wait. Hit up Fountain Square. At 1 hour mark walked back to car and was texted had 10 minutes to get there. Made it.
