Want to hit a BBQ joint this weekend. Maybe Elis or Smoq. Anyone been to Walts BBQ on Colerain in Cincy?

 

Went to Walts a couple years back. I like BBQ a lot and since I don't really remember much about it and we haven't been back I would say it was average. I'll go a long way for good BBQ.

Guy Fieri was in Cincinnati filming Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives yesterday at Taste of Belgium, The Senate, and Bakersfield. Surprised he didn't hit up The Eagle too.

 

My son hit Taste of Belgium for some waffles the morning after Belgium beat the U.S. in soccer. He said it was well worth the walk from 4th street where we both work.

Thanks, used to work in Newtown. I'll have to make it back over that way as I haven't been there in over 15 years.

Just got back from Findlay Market, we tried Velvet Smoke BBQ. Outstanding!

Well we wound up in Crescent Springs yesterday. Could have done Montgomery Inn, but decided against it. Saw a new sports bar called Elis that isn't open yet. Wound up at Montoyas. Pretty average. Luckily I looked at my bill. Charged me 10 bucks too much. They fixed it with no problem.

I've always liked Montoya's, their fish tacos are really good. My only rub with them is they are closed on Mondays and I always seem to want to go there on Monday. Their three salsas are really good too....and now I'm craving Mexican for lunch. Thanks for that.

I've personally not had Eli's yet, but as I've said before, I'm a HUGE fan of Pit-To-Plate. Velvet Smoke is pretty fantastic as well.

Tried going to Eli's Saturday for lunch. Line was out the door and down the sidewalk. Kept on going.
