Was there last weekend. The crab rangoo is a must. Outstanding...

Not sure it's really a hidden gem, but Sotto downtown is great. Hidden in the sense that I worked on the square and had no idea it was underneath Boca.

 

Their donuts dessert was....unreal. Great atmosphere as well. One negative would that you pay 2 dollars for bread...and it's literally 2 pieces of bread. A dollar a slice, even if it's Blue Oven, is a bit much for me.

Not in Northern KY, but has anyone else ever been to Isadore's off the Hopple Street exit? It would be in the "dive" category, but they have an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet that is solid and great for the money. I'm always the only tie / cufflink person in the building, but the owner (Joe) is a great guy and they have won best meatballs at virtually every festival in the Midwest. I took the most hoity-toity person there I know for a lunch two weeks ago and she actually loved it.

Oh I didn't realize that was the meatball place. Looked at the menu and didn't even notice the meatballs.:lol2: So thats what they call the packed meats? i get it. Gonna try it this weekend. Hoping they have something good on tap.

Use to eat there just about every day for lunch about 20 years ago. Wasn't sure if that dive was still open. Great accomplishment to last that long in that location.

Ok, I have a question. Why can a family go for breakfast food in NKY (or the Cincy area) AFTER 11am on a Sunday that is not Frisch's, iHop, Bob Evans, or First Watch? Brunch is OK as long as I can find breakfast food too. 11am seems to the time when most places change from a breakfast menu to a lunch menu. My family is usually getting out of church at that time and I like late breakfast on a Sunday.
