Have you checked out "TOP 10" up the road a bit across from McDonalds? New bar that recently opened in that little strip center by subway. I peeked in the door a while ago and saw what looked like beer pong tables???

I got lunch with some friends at Terry's Turf Club on Saturday (GREAT burger). One of them was saying he'd been to Flip Daddy's location out by 50 West Brewing on Wooster Pike. He spoke pretty darn highly of the place.

I've been to Flip Daddy's. Solid burger, but nothing great. Good beer list. There is a location over in Mariemont, too.

 

I've heard only good things about Flip Daddy's, but I was a little disappointed with my burger. I went with the Mac N' Cheese Burger, which sounds a lot better than it really is. Should've gotten the BBQ Bacon or something.

I ate at The Eagle this weekend in OTR, and it's as good as advertised.

I've heard Longnecks is back open, that should be the death of Top 10.

Been there about 3x a month since it opened, we really enjoy it. I always get the burger with onions and mushrooms on a pretzel bun with a side of asparagus -- really good.

 

Clyde is a burger connoisseur, he'll be able to provide you an expert opinion as I know he has been there also.

No doubt. I have only heard great things about it, which is probably why I was a little disappointed. I'll still go back, but won't be getting the same burger.

ate at BJs Brewhouse. Its a chain, but pretty good food. Had a deep dish pizza. Outstanding beer. Had one called Goliath, it was awesome.

Checked out The Anchor in OTR. If you guy I highly recommend the smoked trout BLT.

Ended up eating lunch there Saturday after a baseball game. Pulled up, and not another car in the immediate vicinity of the parking lot. We were first worried a.) if they were even open, and b.) if they were open, did other people know something that we didn't.

 

Walked in, and not another soul in the place as far as a customer. Warning sounds going off in my head, so I tried to jokingly ask if we were the first customers of the day...and thankfully, the guy said "yes"...they had just opened.

 

Anyway, we were sort of overwhelmed with the menu (hadn't really planned on eating there until we went by it)...so stuck with the burgers. My wife had the Whiskey Bacon burger, and she said it was delicious. I hadn't had breakfast, so went with the Colossus. Great burger, but messy. It's almost too big. Felt like I had to unhinge my jaw to get it all in. But, the mess was well worth it. Was stuffed by the time we left, and didn't eat another meal the rest of the day.

 

I'm very particular on my fries, and liked theirs. First, they were done...and second, they were seasoned (and not with just your typical table salt). And my wife (who is a very particular eater), just raved about their onion rings.

 

Since we were with our son, neither one of us got any alcohol, but it did appear they had a decent selection. Went with the sweet tea, and it was everything you'd want in a tea...freshly brewed, strong, and of course, sweet.

 

Server was exceptional. Kept checking on us, without being overly obtrusive. (Of course, by the time we left, she may have still only had 3 or 4 tables.)

 

My wife said the next time we go back, we should just get two or three appetizers and dessert. Definitely a spot we'll be visiting again.

Was back at The Eagle yesterday afternoon for lunch, and everything was outstanding as usual. They've added a new side, White Cheddar Jalapeno Cheese Grits, that I just had to try. Delicious IMO. Not Eli's Jalapeno Cheese Grits quality, but not far behind.

Anitas is OK. Not quite Rio Grande, however the outside patio is nice. You won't have a wait there.
