Whew...feels like we just had a group therapy session there. It's nice to vent, and know that you're not alone.

Django Western Taco is MUCH better...

We hit up Django today and it was solid. I had a pork, chicken and fish taco and wanted another.

One of these days I'm going to open a restaurant named I Don't Care to solve the above problem.

There used to be a bar in NKY called "Someplace Else". So as in, "Do you want to go to XXX?"

Didn't know it had closed. Drove by there all the time on 3L in my Covington days and loved the name. If I lived there now I'd make a point to go, the name's so darned good.

It's a common misconception....but it's not. I've been told that years ago the paint job was picked in an effort to keep out a certain rougher breed of bar-drinker who might not be so enthusiastic about being caught in a sissy-pink bar.

 

It's actually not all bad in there. Went in with some friends last winter when we went on an impromptu Latonia Pub Crawl. It's done up kind of like an everyman's basement. I'd go back any time.

Ate at the Jefferson Social at the Banks last night after the auto expo. Killer shrimp taco. Fat Tire on tap was pretty good too.

Ate there last night. Very crowded. Tables are very close to each other. Couldn't help overhearing a conversation that I wish I hadn't. Service was not great. Sat about 15 minutes without a drink. About half an hour for food to come out. We ordered the Margherita pizza which was outstanding. Also a calzone that was slightly uncooked. As we were there for a bit, we saw a lot of very appetizing dishes coming out. Couple next to us had lasagna that looked awesome. All in all I'd say we will go back. Just not on a Sat. nite at 7 oclock

Ate in Belluevue at the Elusive Cow. Really good. Nice place. Used to be Skinny Legs. Food is locally sourced. Nice beer selection.

The wife and I ate at Allyns for the first time last night. We both loved it, very good Gumbo and the Cajun pasta was equally as good. We are already planning our next trip back in a couple of weeks.

Want to check that one out. What are some highlights on the menu?

 

It was a Friday during Lent so I went with the fish sandwich. Very tasty. Onion rings are strong as well.

 

My wife had the kale slaw and I must admit it was pretty good.

 

I'll try the burger next time I'm there. Awesome buns.
