Understood and I agree with you. But those 6 years weren't a "I want to be here" 6 years. They were a..."please let something else come along" about 3 years in max.

Forgot to mention, I again said my experience was over the past ten years. And in those ten years lots of turnover. No denying that. Rodenberg left for many reasons, one of which was the politics at CCH. Roger Bacon was not his dream job as you noted above. Moeller was. He left for Roger Bacon. He could have stayed at CCH and still gotten that Moeller job. He didn't. Brossart left (let go) because his relationship with parents, administration, and players at times was contentious. Wirth now almost the same as above. He lasted 6 years which is impressive, though. 3 in 10 years to me isn't the worst but I don't think it's a great reflection either. I was in a hurry when I responded earlier but with the positions my brother played, I heard A LOT of comments, some good and some bad. I really don't care about bad comments. The things I heard multiple times that I'm referencing extend beyond "bad." I won't go into detail as some of the people are on here and later acknowledged they were wrong, but regardless I'm not being hyper sensitive. And I've admittedly said at times I did not handle myself well either when I heard the comments.

Not going to go into it but I can assure you I'm critical of my brother. The things said were out of line. And I heard the same aimed at other kids too. I'm not painting with a broad brush. I said they have some great people. But their bad ones are very bad and I don't think it's as rare as you think. I also noted my experience was across the past decade. I would not know what happened prior to then or how the atmosphere was but I've heard nothing bad about Coach Ray.

Obviously someone had an agenda to leak it. Not sure who. Regardless, CCH wouldn't have had to hear that he had applied to know he was out there applying and looking. He was unhappy. I was told his wife couldn't even sit near the CCH fans because of how disgusting they acted and the things they said. It's been that way for at least a decade now and you can see it in the turnover and the results. When my family was there, I was at every football, basketball, and baseball game. And it never failed, people were so rude and awful about the coach, the kids, whatever (I'll caveat that with no one was ever rude or disrespectful about Coach K). I had to restrain myself when people commented on my brother (I wasn't always successful)-in fact at his final game as QB his senior year I was incredibly disgusted at the words and actions out of the JV QB's father as my entire family sat next to him. He called and apologized eventually, but it was a complete mircocosm of how entitled and disrespectful people got over sports at CCH. NOTE: It was not all parents and kids. There are some great people down there, but the bad are REALLY bad. I have no idea if my family feels or views it the same way I did (Saying this because I think a group of you know who I am and who my family is and MY words are reflective of me only). I think what needs to be realized and has not yet been accepted by the unruly down there is...you're not a premier job at this point. You're an underpaying job with a difficult group of parents and more drama and baggage than it's worth. There is a reason the turnover is so great. Coaches can deal with talent pool dips and developing talent. They have trouble with the other stuff. CCH is a wonderful place, but it needs to come back down to earth a bit. You should be supporting your coaches, the kids, etc.

My cousin was the defense attorney and I was told that a lot of things were suppressed based on motions by the defense. Is this stuff we can't know on here? Can you give any examples? I'm just curious, not doubting.

I don't know if he did it. If you had to make me pick one way or the other, then I'd say yes he probably did. He refused a polygraph and lied about where he was and when. What scares me is the general message this sends. He was convicted with no physical evidence at all, just speculation. You're telling me with as brutal a murder as that was, there was NO physical evidence that could link him at all? It just seems that people needed someone to hold accountable quickly and he was the fall guy. If I'm on a jury, you need to give me MUCH more than what you think is "logical."

My cousin is the defense attorney. Works for/with Eric Deters. Selling his soul....anyway... This is a pathetic case by the state. Linda Tally Smith should be embarassed and ashamed, as should the detectives. I don't EVER want to hear "He's the only logical person who could have done it. He was acting weird" during a murder trial. Give me facts. The state just doesn't have any. Maybe he did it, but...just as in the Widmer case...there is too much reasonable doubt to ever convict. I just hope this jury actually understands that.

This is a case of the state trying to make the circumstances/evidence fit the suspect instead of the suspect fitting the circumstances/evidence. It's scary that our justice system can do this. It's desperate and scary. That DA and detective should be ashamed.

Born. You can learn skills. You can be "made" into a quality player and have success beyond HS athletics with the right work ethic, but a true D1 caliber athlete is born that way. You can see from a very young age, in almost all cases but with some exception, that the kid has a special future ahead if he stays the path. You have to have a combo of some inherent skills, size, speed, and then you are "made" through the development.

Not sure it's really a hidden gem, but Sotto downtown is great. Hidden in the sense that I worked on the square and had no idea it was underneath Boca. Their donuts dessert was....unreal. Great atmosphere as well. One negative would that you pay 2 dollars for bread...and it's literally 2 pieces of bread. A dollar a slice, even if it's Blue Oven, is a bit much for me.
