I should once again, if I haven't already, suggest you stop at The Belgian Waffle in OTR. The waffles are so good. Nice beer selection as well.

I know it's a chain, but we tried out the new Flip Daddy's in Newport Friday night. Burgers were delicious! Definitely a place we'll be frequenting. Only downside was they opened on Thursday and were already out of the beer I ordered (Zombie Dust). How does that happen? Really nice selection of craft beers though.

zombie dust has a cult following. Most bars in the area run out of it within hours...

Peecox in Independence get a steak baked potato and salad for 6 dollars can't beat that deal.

Had Flipdaddys for first time last night. Nice atmosphere but kinda cookie cutter with no real vibe or energy. Outdoor patio and bar was nice looking but nothing special and not much to look at out there except a big grassy hillside.

 

We ate inside and although the server was sweet she is very unpolished and new to waitressing. I took my college aged daughter and we decided to share the Cincinnati Sunrise Burger which is a juicy patty with Geotta and egg on a pretzel bun. I paid an extra dollar for sweet potatoe fries and we got an appetizer called Flip Sticks. They both were delicious and worth the money IMO. The burger and fries was $15 total and Flip sticks $10. I had a West 6th IPA for $6.50 while my ID' less daughter had ice wateR. We were both full and pleased for $33 tax included. Tipped the girl $6 and we got out under $40. Not sure it's a place I'd take my family to as a whole simply due to cost but probably a solo lunch or few beers at the outdoor bar one summer evening is probably in the future.

Took Mrs. TAC to 360 revolving resturant at the Radison in Covington last night. Great dinner. Filet was wonderful. Fist took her there on her 16th birthday, went again 2 years ago. This time had a Cincy saver coupon.

Always forget about this place, but. It has always exceeded expectations. Plus the view!!!!!!
