Ate at The Mercer on Vine last night. Great place. Lots of foods that have the stuff that you can't pronounce, but man was it tasty. We sat at the bar and shared every thing. Scallops for an app. Only 2 for $16.00 found that to be a little pricey, but the rest was a good value. Ordered small orders of Ravioli and Rissuto along with a side of Brussel sprouts. All of it was amazing. Creme Brûlée for desert. They also feature the last of the wine offerings. Basically when they get down to one or two bottles of wine and they offer them at a bargain price.

It's a little upscale. Not your typical bistro-pub bar downtown. It was similar to the dinner tab at Palomino's or Walt's or Knotty Pine. Twice what you would spend at the Eagle, Baskerfield etc.

It was very good. Small place on Ludlow Ave. just down from the Esquire and Ludlow Garage in Clifton.

Love that place... when it comes to Italian it's the real deal. The smell of butter and garlic hits you right in the face as you walk through the doors and it's very cool to see the Italian chef going to town cooking pasta right there for you to witness. The smell makes you want to dive right in.

 

I'm getting hungry thinking about it.

The Fro's opened their new Crescent Springs location about a month ago. Went there Saturday and it was packed. Love their food. Nice bar as well. No draught beer though - only negative about the place.

Joella's opened today. Hot chicken place in Crescent Springs.

 

Had the chicken and waffles and it was very tasty. Mac and cheese was solid - not great. Nice value.

 

Try the spiked honey sauce. It's honey with some hot sauce mixed in. Really good.

3 levels of heat. I always go to the bottom of the list and it was mild with very little kick.
