That place good? Driven by there 200 times, never stopped in. Go to Silverton Cafe a fair amount, right up the road, and a dive Chinese joint in Deer Park, but have never stopped in Chicken on the Run. Now I will.

According to the news story I saw last night on Channel 12, the manager said he was surprised, because they were actually turning a profit at the Levee location.

Did all 4 locations close or just Newport? I've only eaten at the one in Chicago. Not my cup of tea.

Finally got into Bellevue Bistro last Friday morning after enjoying an "adult fall break."

 

Mrs. C1, myself, and a friend up from NC had fantastic meals ( brunch ) and any establishment that sells Milwaukees Best Light by the can is A+ in my book...:lol2:

 

MBL, the next PBR beer! And while in Bellevue do yourself a favor and stop into Witts End Candy ( for hard candy ) and then hit up Schneiders for fudge, ice cream, chocolate, and caramels. Who knew Bellevue cornered the candy market???

They have closed an Orlando and Columbus location as well.

Not a hidden gem, or even a gem, but the Dunkin Donuts in Florence (across from Mickey D's before Pleasant Valley) closed -- That place was PACKED every morning. Shocker.

The one in Boston was a complete ghost town every time we walked by. Right in the heart of downtown and they couldn't get more than 5-10 tables full it seemed.

Wow...Hey, Old Timer, NOT that Dunkin Donuts. You're talking about the one across from Dream Street that has been closed for a decade. Thanks. I'm talking about the one by Pleasant Valley that has been closed less than 2 weeks. Right next to Ace Hardware.
