Wonder what the crowd estimates were vs prior years. Good weather certainly boosted things.

 

I had never even heard of it until this year, and then find out it was the 10th year they've done it.

 

I would say weather combined with the fact that they had John Michael Montgomery as the headliner contributed to the big crowd.

New Garden was really, really tasty and fairly cheap. The New York roll was yummy.

 

It is a really nice, cheap restaurant. Been there several times and the food is always great, as is the service. Really nice and friendly people. Grabbed some to go on Monday night. Again great.

Mrs. TAC decides she wants a good burger this past weekend. She is a bit of high maintenance mind you. Wendy's just won't cut it for her. She is not a fast food person.

So I proceed to take her to City View in Mount Adams. We walk in the dump and she frowns, no table service so we have to walk up to the bar to get a menu. All burgers are pre made and you can only get them done well. She is ready to bolt.

I give her the old "trust me on this one".

The burgers come out and she is overwhelmed by how good they are.

Great experience and the queen of good food gives it 2 thumbs up and swears "we will be back!"

We actually sat inside to catch the football game versus sitting on the deck for the great view.

I would think it did. To be fair, I'm sure it's hard to estimate the number of people. Man, that place was a zoo for sure! If it's that crowded next year, I may skip it.

My wife and I still laugh about their "fast" service. We dined in and the waiter LITERALLY ran to our table with the food. Never seen that before.

We plan on eating at Bayou this weekend. Everytime I've been there that guy has gone out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. Honestly I've never seen a more personable owner in my days of dining.

Cafe' de Paris, 17 Garfield Pl, Downtown Cincy. Sidewalk lunch along side of Piatt Park for a nice Parisian feel on a nice day. Fresh food and good coffee.

 

Cafe' de Vine, on Vine between 3rd & 4th in the lobby level of the 100 year old PNC tower. Old fashioned diner feel with good food and nice reasonable lunch prices.

 

Mt. Adams Bar & Grill - my favorite is the back dining area on a sun shiny day. Front is also nice for those who enjoy a more pub like feel. Nice varied menu.

 

Mokka - 5th & Monmouth, Newport - Good burgers, good sandwiches, casual and non-pretentious. Great Thursday $6 deal.

 

Zola's Main St. Covington, Great burgers and steak fries, Wednesday $6 Burgermania

 

Taft Museum garden lunch on nice day - impressive quaint garden atmosphere

 

Cincinnati Art Museum (Terrace Cafe') - garden lunch on nice day - impressive quaint regal garden atmosphere

 

Kelly's in the lobby level of the Raddison, Covington. Great lunch buffet under $10 - Real nice on cold or rainy days.

 

Buckhead Mountain Grill, Bellevue - Especially nice outdoor deck on nice days. Great food.

 

Dili Deli, Mariemont, OH - Fresh n' good lunch indoors or outside.

 

Kingsgate Conference Center, Martin Luther King Dr., Cincy near UC - Exquisite lunch buffet - Around $12

 

Paula's on 4th downtown Cincy near old Dixie Terminal Bldg - New York feel lunch diner, good soups and sandwiches.

 

Otto's - Main St. Covington, Artsy atmosphere, reasonably priced lunch, nice tomato dill soup served daily. Dinner prices skyrocket.

 

Myra's Dionysus - Calhoun near UC - Many soup choices daily - fresh organic food - bohemian atmosphere

 

Food court in the UC Residence Hall on Calhoun - endless buffet - not expensive
