November 25, 201213 yr Stoops doesn't do anything for me. I know FSU's D is fairly highly rated, but IMO UF just proved its because they're playing in the ACC. I don't want a D-Coordinator that just gave up 37 points to Florida with the 10th ranked team at his disposal. Just think how bad it would be with the guys at UK.

November 25, 201213 yr So does anyone think UK may have missed a chance to land a quality coach before today? Today NC State and Auburn have fired coaches and UT last week. I think this hurts UK. They have waited 3 weeks and font have a coach. Shouldn't Barnhart have already had folks lined up?
November 25, 201213 yr UK did get a head start on other schools but unless your hiring someone without a current job, most deals don't get done (or at least announced) until teams complete regular season.

That's all over the web that Petersen is going to Arkansas but he's a west coast guy and they are some jobs that are open on the west coast and it's rumored that Chip Kelly is leaving Oregon at the end of the year for the NFL if that's true then I would look for Petersen to stay out on the west coast

There defense is top 10 almost every year. It would be a huge upgrade to what Uk had. Why'd they give up 37 points to UF, field positions and turnovers from the offense. The d kept them in that game all night and got worn down from being on the field the whole game. But you're probably right UK can do better than a top d coordinator, it's a super attractive job.
