November 5, 201213 yr Thought it would be a good idea to have a thread for people just to post the rumors and updates that will occur with the UK coaching vacancy. The first rumor I have heard today is that UK reps are at Bama today to talk to Kirby Smart.
November 5, 201213 yr I'd love Kirby Smart. If you love him so much, why don't you marry him? I like him too
November 5, 201213 yr If UK wants Smart, they better pony up ... And trick him into thinking Arkansas and Tennessee won't be open.
November 5, 201213 yr Oh God, here we go. Lots of rumors and no updates. And Smart isn't going anywhere right now
November 6, 201213 yr I'd say Dykes and Cutcliffe are the most "reasonable" choices but what actually happens is another story. I'd prefer Petrino only because the man has proven he can coach anywhere but I know the possibility of him ever coming to UK is literally zero. Phil Fulmer anyone? I know he has been out of the game for awhile and he might be happy with that but I know he must have not liked the way he went out at UT so he might be itching to get back into the game. Yet again, I'm trying to temper by expectations on who I want to be the coach and who it will actually be so these are just a few people on my mind.
November 6, 201213 yr I'm not for Fulmer but I am not opposed to Fulmer. I'm more open to Fulmer than a lot of others though.
November 6, 201213 yr I'm not for Fulmer but I am not opposed to Fulmer. I'm more open to Fulmer than a lot of others though. Fulmer has sought out numerous jobs over the last few years and wasn't hired by anyone. That makes me skeptical of Kentucky hiring him. While I liked Fulmer at Tennessee, I worry that his time might have passed by.
