November 26, 201213 yr What type of offense does MacIntyre run? Very pass heavy style but he is more of a defensive minded coach. I guess I could get on board with the hire if this is indeed who it's gonna be and it's looking more and more like it will be. One thing I don't like is that his assistants can't recruit in the states we need them to recruit in here at UK in order to win

November 26, 201213 yr You act like most of the realistic UK fans on this site didn't see the talent drop. How could you expect a team to replace Andre Woodson, Keenan Burton, Steve Johnson and Jacob Tamme. Name the last time UK has had a decent wide reciever with a decent QB to throw to him. Randall Cobb and Derrick Locke could only do so much...they were just the leftovers from the good ole days. Which you are exactly right the talent did drop, and more reason to not have just stayed with the status quo and having Joker take over. Knowing that there was talent and still at best was just an above average team. They were at a point where it would have been kind of an attractive job for some coaches, and might have been able to get a coach who could recruit much better than Joker. However people were just fine with having him take over, even though that was UK's chance to possibly take another step forward. That was the best opportunity UK had in A LONG time to possibly take a step forward with the right hire. However people seemed fine with at best staying average, and we couldn't even do that. I know its wrong of me to assume this coach at best would just get UK average. It has just been very disappointing seeing some of the decisions UK has made regarding the football program. So I hope he proves me wrong whoever they hire and does great.

November 27, 201213 yr Tennessee produced far better football talent than Kentucky. UT is not signing much of it lately though. They only signed 4 in-state players this past spring and 6 or 7 the previous year.

November 27, 201213 yr Think I'm starting to come around to the idea of having Macintyre as the head coach. Not a home run but seems to be a solid choice IMO.
