July 29, 201214 yr I remember when it used to be okay to voice your own opinion. Now, there's too many bleeding heart liberals out there who don't really care themselves, but just want to argue with Republicans. Ah, America. Let me make sure I'm following. It was liberals who screamed and jammed phone lines of radio stations when the Dixie Chicks made their comments?

July 29, 201214 yr If they had good taste. I didn't jam the phone lines complaining after the Chicks denounced our president. I also didn't do so when Ted Nugent denounced the president. Does that mean I don't have good taste? Did you make any calls either time?
July 29, 201214 yr Nope I didn't, but no one ever accused me of having good taste except in getting my wife.
July 29, 201214 yr I am not a liberal - never have been and never will be. When I pay to hear music, I don't care who you are affiliated with in politics. I just don't want to hear it at your concert that I spent money for, or a college graduation ceremony. I refused to buy the Dixie Chicks last CD just for this reason.
July 30, 201214 yr I wouldn't normally share this, but Randy did something similar earlier in the thread. I have been on a weight loss regime since January. I have lost about 35 lbs and the types of foods offered at places such as Chick-Fil-A won't help me lose more. I also don't go to McDonalds, Wendys, Kentucky Fried Chicken, nor would I go to "We Have Great Chicken Sandwichs and Support Gay Marriages." Also, in one of the posts that you quoted, you will see where I said that I think that marriage should be a religious institution. Sometimes, you shouldn't assume. Don't worry, I found them. PM me if you'd like them back. Seriously, that's awesome. Congratulations.
July 30, 201214 yr I have no problem with the people who will not eat at CFA because they disagree with the CEO's beliefs. I do have a problem with the politicians who say they will attempt to keep CFA out of their cities because of those beliefs. They are wasting taxpayers money as they will lose those battles.
July 30, 201214 yr Singing protest songs is great. I always liked protest songs. I hate going to a concert and listening to someone spout on and on about their political views, though. Doesn't matter if it's a Dixie Chicks type or a Ted Nugent type, I'm a "shut up and sing" kind of guy in this regard. One question I have for those that are dead set against Chick-Fil-A on the comments that were made is; where is the tolerance from the ones that are preaching tolerance? Tolerance is only applicable when it falls in line with their way of thinking? I don't really understand your point. Being intolerant would be saying he doesn't have the right to feel that way and I would try to deny him his right to sell chicken. He has the right to sell it, and others have the right to buy it, and he has the right to his opinion. Disagreeing with someone is not being intolerant. Intolerant is saying "I don't believe in Gay marriage, therefore you can't have marriage equality."
July 30, 201214 yr Boston mayor says no to chick-fil-a, but yes to,this group and guy, which is worse. Radical imam OK but not Chick-fil-A - BostonHerald.com
July 30, 201214 yr Speaking of chick-fil-a...is there one in NKY? Houston Road in Florence. Out in the front of the Meijer parking lot.

Intolerant is saying "I don't believe in Gay marriage, therefore you can't have marriage equality." Where did he say that? The guy said he supported biblical marriage. That is it. The rest of this ridiculous over the top reaction is propaganda from a bunch of people with a political agenda waiting for an opportunity to jump. Chick fil a didn't come out with a political stance. The owner was asked a direct question and answered with his beliefs. He also made a comment on only having one wife... I wonder why the re-married folks haven't jumped on him too? Hogwash... All of it.
