Chick-Fil-A is anti-gay marriage

Featured Replies

Yet the stores are still packed.

I was in Citrus Park Mall last Saturday morning and there was a Chik-Fil-A Cow mascot surrounded by kids and their parents, getting pictures and getting coupons.

No question supporters are rolling out. That doesn't mean the poll is invalid.

I don't think that the owner gives a flyin' hoot about his brand approval rating.

Not saying the poll is invalid. However, it is a poll, "Dewey Wins!!!".

Market share is the real gauge of any net effect caused by the controversy.

Agreed as long as we are talking long-term and not "weeks."

I would disagree. Unless biz is so good he doesn't have room for more locations or more customers then rep matters.

So in a country where the gay marriage issue is essentially split, do people believe Chick-Fil-A is the only establishment in America that has an owner not in support of gay marriage? I still cannot get over the Mayors' comments.

The mayors were playing to a group of supporters.

Americans are good at ignoring the obvious (to your question).

The mayors were playing to a group of supporters.

Obviously. And they could have still gotten across their message without saying we do not want you in our city.

Ill-advised.

I don't think he conforms to normal business practice. Otherwise he'd have caved on the business on Sunday thing.

Ill-advised.

That's your opinion. Time will tell.

So you think the comments by the mayors were not ill-advised?

Actually, don't you think that in time, the overall bottom line of the company will tell the tale? So, you're shocked that the the mayors of the cities with the largest homosexual populations in the country are upset that their constituency might be offended if they didn't take a stand on their behalf? Political grandstanding if you ask me.

I agree with the political grandstanding. They're ill-advised because they have no impact on the ability to get re-elected AND they make the city look silly. I'm not sure what you think I'm shocked about.

OK. We aren't on the same page. I agree with you then. I misunderstood. I think the mayors are nuts if for tax implications for the city alone.
