I like their chicken. I don't care about their views.

This is the stupidest fake controversy that has come down the pike in a long time . Both sides are acting like IDIOTS !!!

At the Ray's game last night, they did that "Spot the Chik-Fil-A" cow thing. This is where they pick a fan, usually an attractive young woman, to take control of a TV camera and give them 15 seconds to find the cow in the crowd, not exactly the toughest thing to do at a Tampa Bay game.

Anyway, last night's contestant, a hot blond, finds the mascot with all of 2 seconds left. Of course the cow is on the jumbo-tron, now, the fans applaud, and the young lady jumps up and down when she receives a fist full of Chik-Fil-A coupons for her effort. Didn't hear a boo one and I made it a point to listen for them.

August 8th is "Stuff the Bus" at Chik-fil-A!

Bring 3 school supplies for students in need. Get a free sandwich and bragging rights! Kenton County schools beat Boone County schools last year. Competition is on!

Thank you, Chik-Fil-A, for helping our schools! :thumb:

I Will the CFA issue resonate long enough to bring out the Evangelical Right to the polls in November with the type of energy seen back in 1994 (remember Ralph Reed)? Perhaps this takes this from the "controversial issues" forum to the "politics" forum, but I think we've already reached the nadir of the controversy barrell.

Koch boys are reportedly putting up $10M for Mr Reed to use to get the RR out to the polls.

What, that they might be hungry and enjoy Chick-Fil-A:idunno:

I don't think I was being excessively cryptic about it.

Hot blonds and chicken. Mmm, Mmm, Mmm. That's what I'm talking about.

Or obtuse!

Thank God Nancy Pelosi weighed in on the topic on Twitter:

In her honor..... KFC Loves Gays

No matter how you stand on this whole topic, I have found the actions of some of our government officials the most disgusting during all of this. That is what has infuriated me the most. I am not sure what law it violates, but it has to be borderline criminal to say "we do not want you hear because of your personal beliefs."

Like the Mayor she's playing unnecessarily to her base.

However, I'm not sure how we can say the CEO can express an opinion and not allow a public citizen who happens to be an elected official to express her opinion? I think it's on the tacky side but I hold no ill will against her stating her opinion even if it was in a somewhat juvenile manner.

How could it violate a law?

Clyde, have you tweeted your opinion on the matter?

I know exactly what they are doing in playing to their base. That was acknowledged on the first page. There is a difference in saying I do not stand for what you personally believe in; but, to say we are not going to allow you to open a store here for your beliefs is another. As Hearsay said, "Do you all universally condemn their pathetic (and illegal) grandstanding?"

I am not a lawyer and cannot say what grounds. But it seems almost discriminatory. Probably why they backed off their comments.

Since the mayor can never legally keep CFA from the city what is to condemn? It's an asinine statement - pure theater.

The mayor can SAY whatever he/she wants. It's not illegal until it's acted upon.

Tweeted? Didn't I already give an opinion? She can say what she wants and live with the consequences. I thought it was a silly statement to make.

I'm asking a question. You have an educated opinion on the matter, but you didn't take to twitter to make that kind of statement. Neither did I, and I'd venture most of the folks on this board didn't. Regardless of our opinions, and how much we disagree, we acted (for the most part, lol) like adults on the matter. I agree with your point, not being contrary at all. Just making a point that she, nor any other politician, needed to put that crap out there like that.

Sorry. I didn't get what you were saying about tweeting. Now I do.

It was a bad move on her part as it gained her nothing and only impacted her in negative manner.
