NKU with a pretty impressive performance. Their defense is what puts them on top of the conference--I think they're the only ones besides Wright State who plays it consistently. After it was 21-20 at the midpoint of the first half, NKU shut down GB for the next 20 minutes and was up by as many as 22. They held GB to their lowest total of the season.

Chris Vogt had his coming out party. NKU was looking to pound it inside against the smaller Phoenix from the get go. With McDonald injuring his lower left leg (presume an ankle injury) and only playing 12 minutes, Vogt took over the game. He finished with 20 points, 14 rebs, 3 blks, 3 ast. His development has been impressive this year.

NKU was balanced with Walton breaking out of a slump by scoring 17, Sharpe scored 14, Tate with 12, and McDonald with 11 in his brief time.

Hopefully, McDonald's injury is just a sprained ankle, even if he needs to miss Saturday. They would likely be able to get by Milwaukee at home without him.

Green Bay drops to 10-11, 4-4 Conf. This was exactly what it should have been, a one-sided affair. Northern Kentucky goes to 17-4, 7-1 Conf. I love the way this program has grown as fast as it has. The Horizon, is a tough mid level conference, and they, N.K. makes it look very easy at times, with the way they pound teams.
