Rez
This list will definitely shrink this week. Oldham Co, Warren Central, and John Hardin all play in the Oldham Co tournament this week. Cov Cath, Cooper, and Trinity are all in the KOB.

Agreed... these holiday tourneys typically see many of these undefeated team begin to drop like flies. Last season by Dec. 29 there were only 2 remaining, when on Dec. 23 when I began this list last season there were 8. I'm a few days ahead of that this season, so whereas we have 13 presently on the list, I'm expecting to see this quickly drop in numbers in the coming days. Hoptown b-ball fan
How many state titleteams have finished with 1 loss and that one loss being in the KOB?
B-Ball-fan
How many state titleteams have finished with 1 loss and that one loss being in the KOB? Here's every Ky State Champ since 1981 when the KOB Tourney began, so the next question would be which of these teams only lost 1 game in the season that they won the Sweet 16, and which of those teams actually played in the KOB, and which of those team's only loss came in the KOB. I don't know where there might be a list of win/loss records for every state champ, but that sounds like the place to begin to help narrow down your question by first finding which ones had only lost 1 game in their State Title season, and then proceed to determine if it came at the hands of a KOB Tourney loss. 1981 Simon Kenton 1982 Laurel County 1983 Henry Clay 1984 Logan County 1985 Hopkinsville 1986 Pulaski County 1987 Clay County 1988 Ballard 1989 Pleasure Ridge Park 1990 Fairdale 1991 Fairdale 1992 University Heights 1993 Marion County 1994 Fairdale 1995 Breckinridge County 1996 Paintsville 1997 Eastern 1998 Scott County 1999 Ballard 2000 Elizabethtown 2001 Lafayette 2002 Lexington Catholic 2003 Mason County 2004 Warren Central 2005 South Laurel 2006 Jeffersontown 2007 Scott County 2008 Mason County 2009 Holmes 2010 Shelby Valley 2011 Christian County 2012 Trinity (Louisville) 2013 Madison Central 2014 Covington Catholic 2015 Owensboro 2016 Paul Laurence Dunbar 2017 Bowling Green

DragonFire
It’s not what you asked, but just last season Bowling Green finished with only two losses, both of which came in the KOB. The semifinals and third place game. I imagine the LIT knocked out plenty as well, especially when it wasn’t just a Louisville tourney. If a team played in both the KOB and LIT, chances are they didn’t win both.

B-Ball-fan
How many teams have won both the KOB and the KHSAA state title? I just checked on the KOB website comparing each year's winner to the Sweet 16, and it's never happened where a team has won both in the same season. If you mean simply has a team ever won both, but not necessarily in the same season, I will recheck now to see as I believe that it's happened with numerous teams over the course of the history of the tourney. Runcible Owl
I'm misunderstanding what you are saying here? I read the Prof's question to be, "winning both in the same season." Your much more detailed answer is more correct, as it meets all criteria. Excellent research, by the way. Thank you. :thumb:

I thought that he might've been asking about winning both tourneys in the same season, and if that's what he was asking I didn't come up with any teams that had done that.
