What happened to the days of Jivin Ivan....?

Talent level has been down at Russell but they have a good freshman class and had a good jv team. Russell will improve next year. Also Russell was hit hard by injuries this year somewhere around 5 or 6 key starters were hurt with season ending injuries. Western Hills made the plays needed to win congratulations to them.

Russell did an admirable job defending Robinson. The Devils just couldn't find any consistency on offense, which has been a familiar story for this team most of the season. Additionally, some inexcusable mistakes helped seal their fate in the final minutes of the game.

These seniors played their hearts out this year. They just didn't have the horses this season, especially after the plague of injuries they had to endure. It's time to turn the page on this season and start looking ahead.

Hopefully The Russell returners get in the weight room and work harder than they ever have and come back with a winning season next year. I'd love to see Russell pushing teams around on the lines like some of the teams in the past.
