Surgery was done on his colon to remove a blockage that was causing kidney problems. He is going to start receiving dialysis to restore kidney function.

It sounds bad for him, every update that I've read has sounded bad.

I hope the NB pulls through. He provided us with many laughs over the years. Sometimes i laughed til I cried at some of his antics.

I have seen this type of thing more than once in my personal life. I'm very hopeful that he recovers but this kind of situation is often one that patients don't leave the hospital from.

According to a report by the New York Post, the wrestling legend was not admitted to the hospital for heart problems resulting from his alcoholic cardiomyopathy, as previously speculated, but rather abdominal pain. The pain led to doctors surgically removing a portion of his bowel to deal with an intestinal blockage. Unfortunately, he had further complications after the surgery which may make them keep him hospitalized for a month or more for further observation.
