Explosion Reported at DP&L' s Stuart Station

Injuries have been reported. Total chaos at the plant from what I've been told.

I know we have a couple of BGPer's who work there. I hope everyone is safe!

I am about 5 miles from it. Reports that are unconfirmed are that 5 people are missing and several people injured. There are lots of emergency vehicles going coming up and down the hill into town.

This is not going to be positive at all. Reports are getting worse as the minutes go by. Too many to report and not sure what is true or not.

Crazy when you are close to the action. Now the Ledger is saying no casualties, missing have been found, and only minor injuries. I hope this is accurate rather than the other stuff I am hearing.

Pray that all involved are safe. Lot of neighbors and relatives work there, don't know their shifts.

Channel 5 reported that the Adams County Fire Chief told them that 5 people with non life threatening injuries and that seems to be the extent of it. So that is good news, if accurate

DP&L calling it an incident not an explosion, that is interesting. I didn't hear anything, not sure I would have and can't see the plant, so not sure. They first reported an explosion.

I've seen some pics of the plant; looks like an explosion to me. From what I've heard, it certainly sounded and felt like an explosion.
