I agree no one deserves a position, they earn that position with hard work and hustle. HSBballfan24 said the young men were committed to the school and working hard TOGETHER to create team chemistry. He did not describe their dedicated participation as "just showing up". I think he meant, how does the rest of the team feel about playing with a teammate who has not exhibited a desire to want to be their teammate? Until he was forced to do so. Good luck to them all for a successful season.

What does it mean when a young man intends to reclassify for recruitment purposes? I've never read that. How does it work? Does the student skip a class? What would be the reason for choosing to do this?

How old is this young man? Where does he play high school ball?

It was JUST a question. Why the hostile answer? Why not a real reason? Better academics for what career the young person is interested in? Better chance for a D1 scholarship to an elite basketball school with excellent graduation percentage? Excellent post graduate programs?

Why CCH and not an Ohio Catholic School? Because Kentucky basketball doesn't have classes or another reason?

Speaking of no one complaining about Christmas Break tournaments becoming too expensive. Coach Hinson was interviewed between games of the Sweet Sixteen Friday night, I think. He stated that BCHS would NOT be having their Holiday Tournament next season because teams and their followers not participating enough to cover the expenses. There are only so many basketball dollars to go around in parent's budgets. So I think your point, that the A and AA are no more expensive than season games, is not correct. You are correct, no one is forcing anyone to attend or purchase anything.

But attending those games is more expensive than regular season games. Food, tshirts or souvenirs, tickets, overnight stays if it's a distance and possibly farther travel if not staying at tournament site. The last two could be a lot more expense, especially if a western Kentucky site is chosen.

And in 2019 you have the addition of the AA Tournament, more scheduling conflicts and more expenses for fans and their parents.

Everything in your post is the truth and I've known the young man forever. He is a wonderful hard working sincere young man. He leaves it all on the floor. Wish him the best of everything as he moves on to the next level.

You would think by March, especially if your team doesn't foul a lot, this would have been a drill in late season practice. It may be hard to accomplish if you're explaining it in the huddle. But it shouldn't be, if it's been practiced as a disciplined drill. I'm not a coach, never have been. But EVERYTHING else gets drilled until it becomes instinct, why not this?

10 minutes for Schaeffer 4 points and 2 RBs and 5 minutes for Lawrence 1 Assist, off the bench. Those were valuable minutes to get the CC starters some rest time. Fast paced game might have had UHA winded. Looked like UHA subbed for foul trouble. Hollowell and Tandy didn't get much of a breather the entire game, both played 31 minutes. Both are very good players. Tandy is definitely in the hunt for 2019 Mr. Basketball
